I'm Brittney Brown, and I've been obsessed with animals for as long as I can remember. As a kid, I wanted to keep everything as a pet—from dogs to frogs! My love for animals was endless, and I always dreamed of becoming a veterinarian. As I got older, I realized there were many different paths that would allow me to spend my days caring for animals. In 2014, I took a part-time job as a bather at a corporate grooming salon, and it didn't take long before I completely fell in love with the grooming industry. Two years later, I became a pet stylist and eventually worked my way into management. I discovered that I loved not only grooming pets, but also leading a team and creating an environment where both pets and people felt cared for.

After spending 10 years in the corporate world, I decided it was time to experience the small business side of grooming. For the next 2½ years, I had the opportunity to grow in a completely different way. I learned what it meant to be independent, adaptable, dedicated, and truly responsible for the work I put into my career. That chapter challenged me, pushed me to work harder and helped me realize just how much I was capable of on my own. That's when I knew it was time to turn my own dream into a reality. The Bark Side of the Moon had been a name tucked away in the back of my mind for years. Now, it's finally come to life! This is so much more than a business to me. It's about caring for the furry family members that mean the world to you. Every dog and cat who walks through my door deserves to be treated with the same love, patience, and compassion that I give my own pets.

At home, my world revolves around my two Siberian Huskies, Polaris (8) and Indy (4). They're the light of my life and definitely keep me on my toes! They remind me every day how important trust, patience, and quality care are. Grooming has become so much more than a career. It's truly my passion. I'm also incredibly lucky to share this journey with my husband, Steven, who is always willing to jump in and help whenever a dog or cat needs a little extra love. When we're not surrounded by pets, you'll usually find us doing anything with an engine—whether it's golf cart rides, four-wheeling, or snowmobiling. But honestly, some of our favorite days are simply spent at home with our pups. We're proud to call the Blackstone Valley home, and I'm so excited to grow alongside this amazing community while welcoming pets from near and far.

My salon is a place for every pet. The loud ones, the shy ones, the nervous ones, and the playful ones. Every single one deserves a safe, loving experience, and I can't wait to treat them like they're my own. Thank you for being part of this dream.
